Thommankuthu - Chain of waterfalls

Thommankuthu is a chain of 7 waterfalls. About 75Kms from Cochin and 20Kms from Thodupuzha, the serene and pristine beauty of the forest and stream attracts hundreds of tourists to this place. The wild beauty of the scenic waterfall will steal the heart of any traveller. To enjoy the panoramic beauty the best way is to undertake a trek that takes one to the top of the mountain, a nearly 12 kms climb. There is no accommodation facility available, so only a one day tout is possible. The place is open for tourists from 10am to 6pm.

There will be water all around the year, but the best time to visit is after the monsoon when the waterfall will be full. However, during the monsoon it is dangerous and the place will be closed during heavy rains. During summer, it's a good place to visit with kids as the water will be less and not so dangerous.
